Our specialist teachers...
Madame Gilbart (French)
Our French Teacher visits the school every week teaching French to all pupils from Pre-Prep to Year 6. Songs, games, puppets and more are incorporated into lessons and pupils love using the language. Madame Gilbart was Head of Department at a secondary school for 10 years. Before teaching she worked in a French speaking role in industry and spent a year leaving in Dijon in France. Madame Gilbart loves nothing more than spending time with her young family.
Lindsey Baldwin (Art Club)
Born in the lovely little village of Gosforth in The Lake District, Lindsey spent her childhood racing through fields, climbing trees and having wonderful adventures with her older siblings. Having graduated in 2004 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in Illustration and design from The University of Sunderland, she then moved to Bramhall where she now hosts Trixie Pixie art parties, provides fantastic face-painting skills, and creates unique character illustrations for children's books and cards. Lindsey says she loves to illustrate childhood dreams and adventures and, leading Stella Maris’ ‘Fine Art for Kids’ club, she loves to inspire the children with new arty challenges each week, helping them to unlock their imaginations and create amazing works of art they can be proud of.
Holley Brown (Drama and Speech)
Holley graduated from The University of Salford where she achieved a first class BA Hons degree in performance, drama and theatre. Whilst at University she co-founded children's theatre company 'Scallywags' and successfully wrote an original show which she toured around schools, and took to the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013. After many years of television and theatre experience Holley was excited to begin her journey as not only a professional actress but also as a drama club leader. Holley says she has been "delighted by the progress the students at Stella Maris have made and the level of superstar talent, there are definitely some characters to look out for in the future!"
